Ingvar Palm has made bookbinding easy. He is a member of the Örebro Amateur Bookbinders Society in Örebro, Sweden. Since the traditional equipment for bookbinding is both more expensive and more bulky than most amateurs can afford, Ingvar has designed a combined tool for sewing, pressing, and backing books - almost all that an amateur bookbinder needs. The tool can be folded and fits in a normal bag or briefcase.
The tool has been developed in cooperation with a professional carpenter and is now available for sale. For more information, contact the society's treasurer Alf Aronsson by e-mail to alf@aronsson.se or by international telephone +46-19-10 30 72.

The tool is easily folded.
Sewing is done sitting at the short edge. This makes it easy to see the work from both sides.
For pressing, the screws are moved to the middle position.
For backing, the screws are moved to the third position, and the tool is raised to a standing position.
